Chairman's message
Welcome to the website of the Birches Vintage & Classic Car Club. This club was started approximately 12 years ago by a small group of people with a common interest in the preservation of older vehicles and equipment. The main aim in starting the Club was to raise funds to help local charitable organisations - who had helped members, or their families, through illnesses - whilst still enjoying our hobby. Over the years we have been very successful in persuing our aims. When the Tsunami catastrophie occured we were in the position to immediately offer financial aid through excellent channels. We did so with full membership approval for our actions.
Currently there are in the region of 40 paid up members, all of whom are very willing workers towards the aims of the Club. We organise two major fundraising events each year - the Static Rally early in July, and The Charity Night. Details of these can be found on the 'Events' page. It's not all about fundraising though and there are lots of other activities organised for members interest.
We are proud of the support and encouragement we recieve, not only from the local community but from further afield. Contributions, sponsorship and other types of help comes from far and near. We are indebted to a lot of wellwishers who are not members. They are of great help to us and we offer them our sincere thanks. We feel justifiably proud to be part of this Club.
Enjoy browsing our website and feel free to leave a message on the 'Guestbook' page allocated for this.
